My 100th post!
I don't really take preseason into consideration. Starters take it easy and backups fight for their lives. The Lions go 4-0 and the Colts go 0-4. Also, much like preseason college football rankings, these rankings will be pretty much worthless.
1. New Orleans Saints. Always have to put the defending champs first. Saints bring back pretty much everyone.
2. Indianapolis Colts. Defending AFC champions bring back the one player who matters, #18. Can they start the first half undefeated for the third straight year?
3. Green Bay Packers. Upstart Packers are extremely explosive on offense and hungry and versatile on defense.
4. Baltimore Ravens. Ravens just added even more talent to a stacked offense, and the addition of Josh Wilson will help on defense. Loaded.
5. Dallas Cowboys. Cowboys offense sputtered in the preseason, but like I said, it's the preseason. Who cares. They should be good to go opening day. Cowboys have as much talent as anyone but have not done a
thing in the playoffs.
6. New York Jets. Everyone's sleeper pick if you could say that. Everyone's favorite team after Hard Knocks. I still think they are a year away with Mark Sanchez still learning.
7. Minnesota Vikings. Another team that is all in. Brett Favre returns for the 94th season looking to not end his career on an interception.
8. San Diego Chargers. No Marcus McNeil and no Vincent Jackson. And plenty of Norv Turner. Regular season champs once again.
9. New England Patriots. The Patriots will have to lean on their offense even more with so many young players on defense.
10. San Francisco 49ers. The Niners could be the NFC's best team if Alex Smith can step up. They have talent everywhere.
11. Houston Texans
12. Atlanta Falcons
13. Cincinnati Bengals
14. Tennessee Titans
15. Pittsburgh Steelers
16. Miami Dolphins
17. New York Giants
18. Philadelphia Eagles
19. Washington Redskins
20. Oakland Raiders
21. Carolina Panthers
22. Arizona Cardinals
23. Denver Broncos
24. Jacksonville Jaguars
25. Kansas City Chiefs
26. Chicago Bears
27. Detroit Lions
28. Seattle Seahawks
29. Cleveland Browns
30. Buffalo Bills
31. St. Louis Rams
32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
